Puritans and Taliban... I sincerely hope I don't have to spend much of my afterlife waiting in a queue with either.
The main part of the magic of Christmas is, I think, worked by sneakily getting people involved with various DIY jobs, from shopping to wrapping to washing up. However grudgingly one enters into the thing, it would be a shame to opt for a completely prefab Xmas.

Oh absolutely!
Sadly the modern Christmas, in the UK anyway, has descended into a more mercenary affair. Personally I loved playing silly games, getting elderly relatives slightly tipsy and discovering that they had many interesting stories to tell.
... and the food of course!
Have a good one jtg

Thanks, shazz. May the blessings of the season fall into your lap in embarrassing abundance; and may this Christmas become a story retold by the little uns when they're bigguns. All the best.
