Layers in the brain
Researcher 189703 Started conversation Feb 8, 2002
I think it is interesting that there are six layers in the brain, each layer dealing with more complex cognitive processes, when research clearly shows that there are up to six distinct levels of complexity in organisations. These also correspond to six levels of cognitive complexity in terms of ability to operate effectively and make decsions at the different organisational levels. Some people have the ability to operate at the highest level but others will mature to a lower level and be able to operate most effectively at one of the lower levels. These stratified levels of complexity that are seen in social, psycho-social and often physical systems seem to represent some archeytypal or universal paradigm that may have a direct association with brain structure.
