On a similar theme, German Christmas markets do a neat version of Gluehwein (ue substituted here for u umlaut) called "Feurstangenbohle", wherein a giant sugar lump is suspended above the cauldron of Gluehwein, doused in brandy and set alight.
They also have hot chocolate laced with Brandy, known as "Lumumba." As far as I am aware, this is the only drink named after an African socialist.
