A Conversation for Cockney Rhyming Slang

Well, someone went a bit wrong there. I think the correct vernacular you are looking for there is "Lubbly Jubbly".

Which brings me onto a little observation I made while recently on holiday in Egypt.

The arabian population of horse and carriage drivers, taxi drivers and felucca drivers were obviously impressed with the gorgeousness of my female companion, and I was rechristened "MR Lucky" for the duration of the trip.

One of the terms of endearment directed at my companion was "Lubbly Jubbly", which begs the question:

Is Lubbly Jubbly an arabic term bastardised and entered into the common eastend vernacular, or is the indiginous arabic population of Egypt taught to speak english through exposure to incessant re-runs of "Only Fools and Horses"?

I think we should be told!
