A Conversation for BASIC - the Programming Language
Various Forms of BASIC

I know of a few, there are many forms of BASIC adapted to specific purposes or boxes. The Vic-20 for example uses a form of Q-BASIC mostly utilizing the POKE command. There's even a form of BASIC meant for programming video games, especially 3-D ones: DarkBASIC, actually a very good language if you can afford the not-so-free compiler. BlitzBasic is a very wide-use form of BASIC - and I use form in the loosest sense for this language. BB and DB are both considered BASIc under very broad circumstances, BlitzBasic actually being closer to C than anything else. nBasic is a language made for up-and-coming NES coders (heh, yeah, there are alot of those nowadays), meant for making Nintendo programming quite a bit easier on the mind. The last version I know of (not already mentioned in other conversations) is TI-BASIC, for programming on the TI-82 and up graphing calculators. This is the version with which I am most proficient, and the version which I (obviously) prefer.
Anybody know of any other BASIC variants?
