Prokofiev Classical Symphony:
Perhaps others would disagree but this piece was written by Prokofiev in the 20th century but in the classical style of Haydn. It is a fine piece but should it be listed as an example of the classical period?

I listed it as an example of the Classical Style rather than of the Classical Period. I think it would be more immediately likable to a complete beginner than a piece from the Classical Period. The whole point of this is to introduce beginners to the music.
