I have had the luxury of actually visiting Nauru during the 80's. I can't remember much as I was too young. But I thought you might like to add the following (though you may have it already and I've just forgotten you have):
Nauru's main road is closed in order to land planes.
The inhabitants are on average one of the most, if not the most, obese population on Earth.
Grate atricle though 
It's good to see that some of the smaller places getting a mention
