Never realised that the stuff I had fermenting in my back room had a real name. 'Vin de Pays', sounds better than 'Plonk de Fracais'. Had a great alchohol content tho'

Appelation Controlee wines must not contain more than 13.5% alcohol if they are to maintain their status. This is always printed on the label, even if some red wines "carry a little more weight".
