Mental ill Health Rehabilitation

While currently working towards a CertEd qualification I have had to research theories relating to Learning in post 16 education. Having read a large amount of material related to this subject, I have found a void of understanding relating to Mental ill health recovery. I teach IT to people of all ages recovering from mental ill health. I now find that due to the shortfall of relevent material I am having to create thoughts that are not strickly true in order to complete this work. Given that mental ill health is one of the greatest and most common causes of lost work time, and continued ill health why is there so very little information regarding how to teach and support people suffering from this, allowing that one in four people suffer a mental illness during there life, and 25% of these suffer long term (over 6months), when are govening bodies going to stand up and admit the need for more support in this field.
