Hello. Congratulations on having your articles submitted for subbing for the Edited Guide. I have been put in charge of your entries for the next step on the way to Edited Status. I am posting to all of you at the moment, and when I get around to each entry I will email you. Please make no further amendments to your entries as I have already grabbed your code for the next stage. Thank you for your understanding. I will now proceed, for your benefit, to explain how I work. Hope you all write many more articles of this standard in the future.
Firstly, I do not do entry subbing in little bits. I sit down on a Saturday afternoon, and read your entry, patch it up and polish it, and generally make sure it’s shipshape before returning it for the italics to spot my foolish typos.
Secondly, I do not change your writing style unless I have to. Most alterations to article are simply spelling, GuideML and clarification. You wrote it, and I feel it is not my duty to mash it up and reconstitute it unless absolutely necessary.
Thirdly, I do the articles in the order in which they appear on my list from the Towers, as laid down by my email. For this batch, that is:
A625501 ‘Handedness’ By Niwt
A624287 ‘Maria McKee, Singer…’ by Dr Bob
A625592 ‘Teaching a Cat to Fetch’ and A625600 ‘Roll of Thunder, Hear My…’ by *Liz*
Finally, I will endeavour to contact you personally regarding any clarifications that are required. This is done as a conversation on h2g2 unless you wish to request a conversation by email. This can be arranged by posting to my page.
That’s all, folks and small furry creatures from the crabb nebula. (Listen to R4, 6:30pm British time for repeats of the original radio show)
Whoami?
