A Conversation for Battle of New York City, USA
New York and it's Dutch history
Alfredo Started conversation Oct 31, 2007
It's a bit off topic, but just a few peoples know that New York has been a Dutch colony around the year 1624 - 1664 and after that just again in 1673. A couples of years.
There are a lot of names that come straight from The Netherlands, like Wallstreet, Hampstead, Brooklyn, etc.
