Not that I'm a country music fan, but "The Country Music Capital of the North", Indian Ranch, is located just outside the Blackstone Valley (on the shores of Lake Chargoggagoggmanchaugagoggchaubunagungamaugg, which reputedly translates from Nipmuc as "You fish on your side, I fish on my side, nobody fish in the middle"; I just had to work that in 
).
As Boston and Providence continue to grow, many of the former mills are now being renovated into apartment buildings and condominiums.
