I saw the film in question for the first time last night...as a result, I'm a little suprised this is the first conversation on the topic!
It is an *amazing* film...almost leads me to wordlessness...beautifully shot, and I 
the narration...it kinda makes it feels like "The Wonder Years" but two streets over, and what they couldn't (or wouldn't) talk about.
