"Ike supported Nixon in his bid for the Presidency in 1968."
OK, so some of us, with 20-20 hindsight, are thinking Ike had no ability to judge people. But humorist Dave Barry says its not Ike's fault. Nixon was a pretty smart guy ... until he got to the White House. It turns out there is a Dumb Ray in the attic of the White House that apparently hit Nixon. Then he said stuff like, "I know what let's do! Let's sit around talking about committing felonies, and tape the conversation!"
