I'm an advisor on railway infrastructure in the EU (as railways are now increasingly governed by EU regulations from the European Railway Agency) and there are a few things out of date in this article (e.g. Railtrack is now the not-for-dividend Network Rail and the TOCs list - or Railway Undertakings if you prefer - is also a bit out of date).
Anyway, just thought I'd point it out
