I thought the ferry ran across to the Turf Hotel, of which there is no mention despite it being right at the entrance of the canal for the river. Recommended for food and beer - at least based on my last visit in 2008.

jezwald, you are quite right, I mixed up my Turf and Double Locks pubs. But both are connected by a river boat and can be visited on the same trip.
