I live in Perry County and happened upon this website. I note that the description of Perry County says "Perry County is so rural that it didn't receive its first McDonald's franchise or traffic signal until the 1990s." Okay, we do have ONE McDonalds in Newport. But just to set the record straight, as of this date (September 4, 2002) there are NO traffic signals anywhere in Perry County. This is a matter of some pride to residents who treasure the rural nature of this lovely area. However, there are many dangerous intersections that could use a traffic signal, especially Routes 11 and 15 in Marysville and Routes 34 and 850 in Shermans Dale. I spend 2 hours a day commuting to and from my job. I consider that commute to be the price I pay for the pleasure of living in such a beautiful place.

When I wrote this description, I thought there was a signal at the Giant Foods in Newport.
If I was mistaken, I'll be sure to get it fixed right away.
Thanks!
