I enjoyed your article very much, but the pronounciations are a bit ropey all told. You won't get lynched by the way. Just a. giggled at, b. given a withering look or c. treated to an understanding smile masking mild annoyance. That is of course, only by those who speak welsh. Aberystwyth=ah-ber-us-twi-th; Ceredigion, as you say, is Kere-dig-ee-on, Dyfed is Duh-ved, but never Dih-ved (which as far as I know is a term of abuse...)(also, Dyfed isn't "also known as Ceredigion" - The area is Ceredigion, which USED to be part of Dyfed, which is a larger county that includes Camarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, but doesn't exist any more. Although you'll never persuade my branch of the halifax of that fact); ynyslas = uh-nis-lah-s; then you have nant yr arian: nant- ur- are-ee-an. This is all a bit pedantic, I agree, and as I look at them now, I realise that my versions are still somewhat open to interpretation...but as many of my friends are gamely learning welsh I think pronounciation has become disproportionately important in my life. Possibly I need a pet. I do agree about the "ever-expanding animalarium" by the way. It's a gem.
