What about the warnings that come to women? The amount of times I get emails about the latest date rate drug that can't be traced and will leave me sterile is amazing.
Another good site is called Snopes something or other I think. Can't link to it here though. But that's where I go to get all my info.

I am going to scream the next tim I get an email that warns me about some girl that took a drink at a party and wound up with no kidneys.

For people who seriously believe these ludicrous kinds of stories (you know who you are), look up Urban Myths on any reputable search engine, there is a very good website that lists as many of these as I have found anywhere else.

Do this BEFORE you forward it on!!!

And the one about the Woolworths parking lot, two guys come up and ask the woman to smell this perfume (on herself or them, I've had both), she goes out cold, wakes up, no clothes, miles from home, no bag, keys etc. I got this one from a friend who really believed it and believed it was at our Woolworths - despite the fact that our branch doesn't have a car park!

I can't believe how gullible some of my friends can be when it comes to email, yet are perfectly sensible otherwise.

It's because it is such a quick communication medium, that the lie runs around the world twice before the facts get a warm up!

Unfortunately, these stories do seem to have some (read that again, some) truth to them, but by the time they have made it to urban myth status that truth has blown out of all proportion and made it look like this thing is happening at your local Woolies/Sainsburys/Tescos/Coles!
