My friends and I did the Christos technique at my birthday party this year and last year. I only had a go this year though. It was *AMAZING*.

I once E-Mailed an Australian guy whose name I forget about Astral Projection, and asked him some questions (It was an interest of mine years and years and years ago, when I first started watching the X-Files, and started getting interested in occult-y things as a result), and we ended up having a big interchange of information by E-Mail... (This was back on my p-233). Anyway, he ended up sending me most of the chapters of a book he'd written on Astral projection, and that was soon to be published (I'm not sure whether it has been or not). I still have the many bits of paper that I printed out somewhere, if you're interested. (I committed most of it to memory, and projected a fair few times).

(this is assuming, of course, I can find the folder amidst the pile of junk in my cupboard)

The disadvantage of a fast internet connection is that you can't stop, go back, and add to what you wanted to say without double posting.
Damn.

*giggles at you*
The guy who wrote the book that I learned the Christos technique from was called G.M Glaskin. I think he was Australian.....

Doesn't sound like the name.
I think the letter R or name Rob came into it somewhere.
(Robert?)
So I'm a darl now, aren't I?

I beleive the Australian mentioned here is Robert Bruce, I read his treatise on Astral projection whcih can now be found here-
http://www.v-j-enterprises.com/rbruce1.html
I found this online when i was at uni ten years ago and found it very informative, I also own a book by Oliver Fox which you might like to seek out- At that time I regularly attempted projection following advice in this document with little success barring one experience which left me uncomfortable with the idea for a while. Having tried unsuccessfully earlier in the evening (and for some days prior) i gave up and went to sleep as normal.
Later I THOUGHT I woke up, being apparently woken by my stereo which seemed to have switched itself on. It was playing the most beautiful music I ever heard and as a musician I vowed I had to find out what it was and buy the CD or whatever, or in the least write down. However when i approached the stereo to switch it off I found it wasn't on and realised the music was coming from all around me and that the room was filled with a strange suffuse light. I went back to bed in puzzlement and amd a little freaked out and in time the music and light faded. Sometime later I recall hearing bizarre noises that coud have been voices, something seemed unpleasant about the sound though and it troubled me, the light was also back- along with this my body felt like i was 'buzzing' the best way I can describe is like the feeling when your hair stands on end but several times more powerful. After an indeterminate time all of a sudden I felt myself glide to the foot of my bed and settle onto the floor, thinking to myself 'i did it I really did it!' before i could do anything else though I got the sensation that my lower lip was dissolving!! Understandably this freaked me out and i panicked-next thing I know I'm sitting up in my bed in the early hours of the morning heart racing but knowing that this had been now dream or nightmare. I discussed this experience with a medium who was leading a Psychic circle at my spiritualist church at whcih I was a member at the time (yes I was trying to be a medium too with some limited success- got very good at psychometry) she warned me not to attempt anything related to the Psychic without an experienced mentor present and to this day I havenb't tried again. For the record after leaving Uni i have not since been invloved in spiritual church either and it is only now that I have again started to rediscover my curiosity for these matters.
Anyways just thought I would share my experience with you- hope the Robert Bruce link helps
