A Conversation for Shopping Malls
Woodward & Lorthrop's

I am a little late on the band wagon, but ran across this article while searching the web. I live about 2 miles from Landmark Mall, and found this article somewhat interesting. I always wondered why it is such a yucky mall, but the fact that Woody's was there pretty much explains it.
One thing - you got the full name of the store wrong. I believe it is Woodward & Lorthrop's, not Woodrow and Lawthrops.
An update - the Lord and Taylor's opened, and the mall seems to be rebounding somewhat. Now, if they could just fix the traffic...

Thanks, Pam. Are you sure about that rendering of Woody's full name? I can't find anything on the Web to confirm either spelling. That's not to say that there's nothing out there, merely that I can't find it.
Perhaps an h2g2 Entry on Woody's is in order, so that the memory of shopping in one isn't lost to posterity. How 'bout it?
