It seems strange to me that there should be a place to discuss this
entry since the author has been banned for life. I am actually rather surprised that this entry has not been removed.

And the hard work of the sub-editor? The people in Peer Review? What happens about them?

Unfortunately, the Entry is rubbish. Although there is some truth in it, there's a lot more which is completely wrong. I applied to have this entry removed, but the Eds didn't want to - they preferred that someone should update it. I tried to update it a few times, but the Entry is so full of hate that it got me down working on it and I had to stop.

I'm still on about it because the Entry is still in the Edited Guide, providing mis-information and a hurtful attitude. It affects me so badly that I have to record it somewhere.

Arpeggio, was a hurtful, hateful person, sure of her own superiority on every subject, and her entry is just so full of that attitude that it is painful. It suggests her and load of English professors talking together and laughing at people who are not able to speak properly.

I remember spending a lot of time trying to make Lord Wolfden feel at home here, and to fit into the community - suggesting things he might do and so on, but I don't think I showed him where the picture of the wolf was. I don't really remember.

hi gnomon... sorry about the picture thing but here, i will show you why i got mixed up here http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F2095978?thread=804144 you messaged Lord Wolfden with these pictures... august 14, 2005 then, on august 27, this other person messages Lord Wolfden to warn him that someone has hacked into his introduction with an insulting name... http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/F2095978?thread=894122 but as it turns out, at the end of that thread Lord Wolfden says he thinks its GodBen U518809 who embedded it (via a pix?) anyway... yes you are friendly to Lord Wolfden, as is evident in other messages in that time frame... i couldnt find any evidence of godben giving him a pix but i was only looking in messages and got tired... the abuse is ...wearying i seem to recall he may have made friends with him in some animal threads he started? anyway, sorry... its just everyone gets so picky and oversensitive about peoples behaviour on here it seems...

so about you saying her entry was hate-filled... because i could see no evidence of hate i took a look around to see why you would say that and this http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F71565?thread=131591 is a thread here under this entry where folks talk about things they would change... a ways down someone mentions F68844?thread=117767 as the peer review thread for the entry and that conversation in peer review seemed pretty nice i looked around some more and did notice that she would joke around about folks who were insultingly ignorant in their english usage... and i noticed in other threads folks saying they didnt think she was being treated right not that i was there, of course, but as i have said elsewhere, the evidence is in the writings and it seems folks on here had a hard time with her brilliance and when they got nasty she got nasty back tho it seems she didnt get as nasty as they did nor as nasty as they deserved evidently she was only here for 2 months? what a shame that you all couldnt work it out she had so much to give also it appears that it was the italics who were most unfair to her someone who isnt here anymore but i hesitate to name names as i get yikesed all the time anyway... let me just say that creativity and briliiance is a lonely lonely road sometimes as you probably know gnomon and since she had had brain damage it appears she was another hero like Wolfie i think with peoples lives in real life and all it can be hard and that we can bring our nerves in here and accidently take them out on people here i like to think thats what most of researchers here have done when they attack folks like wolfie there are a few tho... who i think are horrible and thats for sure anyway sorry to go on for so long... its just she cant defend herself and so many it seems educated people think her entry is very well done some even said they would be using it in teaching and such dont you think this topic, also, can sometimes depend on some opinion? its not like algebra you know... as clear cut language is after all always changing

I certainly got cross with Wolfden once or twice - no matter how much help you offered him, he always went his own way and could be very insulting about it. But in general I tried to help him, and was surprised when he was banned rather than the people who baited him.

well, you were one of the few that truly befriended him...
