Remembering Lil

We Write our verse with saddened heart

Learning Lil will now depart.

A beacon of light she has been at hootoo

She was feeling ill, we thought 'who knew?'

Yet there but by grace go you and I

I hope this isn't really goodbye.

Now still the Post will roll along.

We'll do our best,

We won't go wrong.

I hope she reads these lines of verse,

Getting better and not worse.

This hootoo paper will carry the day,

And more great works it will display.

Shine on, Lil, shine from afar.

Shine on, Lil, you are still a star.
