Why not pop down to Bootham Crescent if you are passing through York on a Saturday, it's maybe a 15-20 min walk from the Minster (depending on how long your legs are!)
Sure, City are in division 3, but some weeks you can see some really good football, and it's not too expensive, between £15 and £20 depending on your age and where you sit/stand.
And to tell you the truth, we could do with the money...
