Someone stole our smarties,
And left us feeling blue.
They took all the red ones,
And the colours too.
It's a rainbow of colours,
With chocolate drops inside.....
Thats the advert we got in New Zealand, anyway. I didn't make it up.

In Canada our jungle was - when you eat your smarties do you eat the red ones first - I am hoping other researchers will be able to fill in - hello New Zealand

In Germany the jingle always went "viele, viele bunte Smarties!" (many, many coloured smarties!), underlined of course with a joyful little melody. When I was a kid, we used to tell each other this story: (scary, deep voice) "In a dark dark wood, there is a dark dark path. And the dark dark path leads to a black black house. And in the black black house there is a deep deep cave. And in the deep deep cave there is a dark dark trunk. And in the dark dark trunk there are (on the melody) many, many coloured Smarties!

Wow, all these countries with Smarties! The entry suggests that the UK and USA have a duopoly on the little coloured candies.
