does anyone have any information on a painting of edith cavell in world war I minutes before her execution? It portrays her in white, a shining light walking down the stairs in a prison towards the firing squad. I saw it in the springfield Massacusetts, USA art museum, and fell in love with it. Ever since i've been trying to find a print, but am unable to recall the name, painter, or virtualy any more information about it. Anybody know anything? I want to say it was painted by George Orwell... but that doesnt make sense.
