"Maintenance? It was built by hand, so it can be taken apart and repaired with simple tools," so you say. Well, yes and no. If you have an older 60s Morgan Plus 4, as I do, you will discover that doing major repairs on an aging Moss Box, the gear box in the Plus 4, is almost impossible - the parts seem to be impossible to find. I wish I knew of someone who had parts, original or otherwise... Or someday a replacement transmission will have to be shoe-horned into my old beauty.

Hi,
Yes - you're right. I suppose I was thinking of things like re-bushing the sliding pillars or working on the engine (compared with a modern car with a computer controlled injection and ignition).
Mine, a 1973 four seater, has a Ford gearbox. I do have a problem with a lot of slop in the back axle. I think a replacement for that (if it can't be adjusted any more) might be hard to find over here.
Good luck.
