A Conversation for Turbo Pascal
Second Language I learnt

That was the second "major" language I learnt after the good ol' BASIC. I still love the way the language's constructs are, but C++ has taken over everything now it seems.

Same here -- first BASIC (in my case, STOS on the Atari ST) and then Turbo Pascal + Assembler. I really fell in love with the fact that you could make pure assembler procedures. It made everything so easy! The strengths of high ~and~ low level languages! Plus, you could cheat and transform stosw, ax and other word-size operands/operators into double-word operands/operators by adding a certain machine code. I think it was 66h or something.
Great stuff.
