Enjoyable article - if just a handful of programmers take heed, it will save many hours of troubleshooting. We used to use techniques such as Jackson Structures and SSADM, but any technique is better than none.
The bits about comments and visibilty of code elements are important - I am sure that many programmers working for very big software companies are not aware of this! (no names but you know who you are!)
Bobs Law - a badly documented program will come back to bite you.
