Dear Countryfile,
A 'hurling stick' is a hurley (or a hurl in 'Norn Iron')
A 'hurling ball' is a sliotar (pronounced as spelled).
Please try to get it right!

Tony, the Entry does get it right. It was written by Woodpigeon and he is well aware of the correct names. That's why he used the correct terms in the Entry.
When he said "camán or hurling stick", he was not saying that the stick is called a "hurling stick", he was saying that it is a hurling stick, that is, a stick for hurling. He had already explained that it is called a hurley in English.
Sliotar is only pronounced as written if you pronounce it in Irish. It is "sl-yuth-er".
