Got a flatmate from Konstanz who was delighted to see
http://www.h2g2/com/A362341 putting it on the web map.
It's a good entry; structured, informative, two-sided, etc and as Konstanz is
not an uncommon stopping point for travellers of Europe on their way down
through Germany to Switzerland I think it would be nice to see this as a full
entry under "The Universe".
Just found this in the sin bin- Oops!
Should have put the title on!
Also, it's not written by me it's written by Mr Black at http://www.h2g2.com/U135955

http://www.h2g2.com/A362341 even.
> "The town has a quite chequered history. I could pretend to be knowledgeable and write some of it here, but you can find a far more succinct version in the Encylopaedia Britannica, and I'd probably be told off for copying it verbatim."
If you write it out in your own words - no problem. Alternatively, why not go to your local tourist office and ask them - plus all their info will be in German, so you won't be able to plagiarise even if you are tempted to...
You should probably footnote German phrases like 'altstadt' and so forth. I know what they mean, but others won't.
Why not promote this at the Germania Connection? - it's at http://www.h2g2.com/A478055.

The area around Konstanz is known as the 'Drei Lander Eck' (three country conrer) this is due to the fact that lake Constanz has borders with Ausrtia (which you forgot to mention) Switzerland and Germany. So perhaps you could change that, so that the Austians don't feel left out.

Thanks for the GMC mention Lucinda
we are mobilised!
Also I basically support this entry, will add a couple of points when I've found some literature I've got laying about somewhere - spent a holiday in that area once.

I stress, this article isn't written by me.
Where's Mr Black? I told him what was going on...

I checked out MrBlack's home page to put him in the GerManiaConnection and it seems there hasn't been much movement there recently. Pity. Perhaps he got what he wanted and quit (see his intro........) !!!

Hmm... I see what you mean!
Not much activity after about June 23rd, at least on-screen. Perhaps he did indeed find... other ways to fill up his time.
In any case, what does this mean for the article, if he can no longer edit it?
Should I commandeer it on his behalf and credit him as the original researcher?

If you go to http://www.h2g2.com/test362341 then you'll be able to grab the guideML. Create a small section at the top with a link to the original researcher, and the original entry, and modify away. Also create a conversation attached to the original to say what you're doing, and giving a link to the modified entry. Also post to the original researchers page with an explanation, and an apology if he doesn't like the changes.
That should work fine.

All the above has been done.
I haven't made any changes to the actual text yet though.
Incidentally, I was also trying to promote an article about Turku, which may need the same treatment as Hane has vanished also.

Well now you can! :) I've put it back up for Peer Review at http://www.h2g2.com/F48874?thread=93158&latest=1, being at last happy with the way it's finished off. "Touched up the paintwork nicely, lovely bit o' varnish..."
