I love books by Diana Wynne Jones. I think I posted somewhere before how I at first feared they were a Harry Potter spin-off, especially as they were marketed here as being "Hotter than Potter". When I actually looked at the publishing date I realised they were older, and read the Chrestomanci books and quite enjoyed them.
"Howl's Moving Castle" is definitely my favourite book. I saw on IMDb that an Anime (?) film is being made about it. I hope it's good.
I also love "The Ogre Downstairs". I heard that when HP film producer David Heyman was looking for a childrens book to turn into a film, "The Ogre Downstairs" was his first choice, but was rejected so he chose Harry Potter instead. I really would love a film of "The Ogre Downstairs", but I can understand how it would be hard to do.
I am currently reading a new book by DWJ called "The Merlin Conspiracy". I'm really enjoying it, and I love the cover!

I've seen the anime of Howl's Moving Castle and I didn't like it much.

Unfortuanly I read it just as I was growing out of young adult books so I haven't really gone back and read other stuff by them
