A Conversation for Death

Death isn't the handicap it used to be

My point, apart from rather liking the gratuitous BBC comedy reference, is that if, like me, you think life aint all that great, why get het up about the whole death thing?

Contrary to popular opinion, I can't help thinking Death's only a problem when He happens to other people. Loss is what's appalling. The waste of a life. What you never said to them, and so on.

A distant but still beloved friend of mine recently died, which had a staggering effect on my early-twenties peer group, especially those closest to her.

But where I felt for her was the pain prior to death. It's only her family I sympathise with after the awful event. Zoe's OK now - probably having an awfully big adventure - or perhaps a nothingness, returning to her component elements. The rest of us were'nt so fortunate.

Anyone think that's callous? I hope not.

Just kiddin', no worries, it happens. Never be afraid to express your opinion, it's a free world on the Internet. I may not agree with WHAT you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

smiley - smiley Whatever. If everyone agreed with everyone, how dull would it be? Freedom of speech rocks. (I defend my right to use cliched 80's sayings in my platitudes)

Think Pink...
