Well, this is a game that can be played alone, or with others. The object is to go to the '10 items or less' checkout with more than 10 items. See how many you can get past the checkout. Always try to improve your personal best, or if in a group beat the opponents.

In the interests of scientific objectivity, you should always try to go on the same day at the same time. Always try to get the same checkout operator. Difficult, they all look the same.

In a busy supermarket, a variant on this game is try to see how many items you can pass by the checkout before you here someone complain that you've got more than 10 items.

When i worked in a supermarket i saw one woman break the till she had over 350 items and it was not programed for that many however it was not a 10 item or less but the till that was was also the only staff till so all the staff would have to use it even if they were getting a full weeks shoping.
