There can no longer be joint ranger/venture units, as the Scout Association changed the age ranges and Explorers are 14-18, and Scout Network 18-26, (with GGUK's senior section being 14-26), so there can no longer be joing units -existing ones are being separated.
Explorers wasn't just a renaming of Ventures.
