Strachan was truly great.

One press conference he took 'the world is against us' theme to a new level, by complaining the "FA fixture computer has it in for us" when they had to play a tough set of fixtures in quick succession.

When suggested that he was 'kicking every ball with the team, returning the ball for throw-ins', he replied that "the ball-boys aren't very quick, perhaps they should be getting sprint training"

My personal favourite was, when asked whether James Beattie (one of his players whilst managing Southampron) should be selected for England, he replied "what do I care, I'm Scottish"!

Didn't Fergie once make a similar remark about a player being selected for England? It all shows how UK newspapers are England-centric.
