h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

My brother is a driver on the central line and he told me of an incident whereby a passenger, realising he was on the wrong platform ran onto the track and tried to get on my brother's train!! Fortunately my brother slammed on his brakes and just managed to avoid hitting him. When he got over the shock he went to talk to the passenger (probably to ask him what on earth he was playing at) and was advised that this happened regularly in the passenger's home country!! My brother's full reaction to this was probably one of incredulous disbelief at the man's suicidal efforts to catch a tube train.. Needless to say he told the passenger in no uncertain terms not to do it again.. So it goes without saying that my brother never knows what will happen next..
