A Conversation for The London Underground

Twin Stations

Post 1

A great trick played by London Underground is to have two stations with the same name. Notable examples are Shepherds Bush and Edgware Road, where the locations are actually some distance apart. Don't be fooled by the connection shown between the Jubilee Line and the Docklands Light Railway at Canary Wharf - you have to walk through a warren of subterranean shopping arcades and anyway the tube station is actually nearer to Heron Quays DLR.

To make up for this LUL can also provide one station with two names: Monument on the District/Circle is actually part of the same complex as Bank on the Central/Northern/Waterloo & City/DLR.
