In the film Gregory's Girl the voyeuristic photographer measured exposure time in 'elephants'. I've also heard 'Mississippi' used as a rough measure of a second. Any more?

D'Argo in Farscape: One, mipapipi, two mipapipi... OK, it's almost the same thing as Mississippi, but it was the first thing that came into my head.
