Hello there. Where I work my detection limit for Hexane extractable hydrocarbons is 5.0 mg/l. Most municipal ww treatment plant effluents are between 1-3 mg/l, it would be hard to reach 0. A high O&G is usualy a good indicator that other things will be over the limit also(ei: solids, Bod, ect).

I would like to change my plea. A total O&G for a wwtp is 1-3 mg/l, the hydrocarbon is usualy <1.0 mg/l.
