It is best advised that in order to avoid catching a cold, we must not kiss or share drinks with people who have colds, even if they are very kissable, and their drink is quite delicious!!! smiley - tongueout

Of course, I see that the prompt for this collaborative effort also stated a request for the BEST WAYS TO WRAP UP!!! smiley - tongueout

Well, if you caught your cold, or gave your cold to someone very cute, why not wrap up with that same person!?? OOOO.... smiley - smiley

Surely if the person is THAT cute it's worth getting a cold off them?

Anyway,

The way I see it this whole discussion is counter productive. The cold is a beautiful and wonderful thing, school children all over the world yearn for colds, people with dull jobs love nothing better than calling a sicky. The cold should not be exterminated like a pest, it should be welcomed like a friend!

What other reason do you have for skipping work/school, spending all day in bed and being served hot beverages by your loved ones? smiley - smiley

My thoughts exactly! Colds for the most part are harmless and they give you a chance to re-evaluate just how good it is to feel well.

I would rather have the galloping trots or some sort of Exorcist-type flu than have a cold. At least a flu bug is over in a day, maybe two. Colds drag on and on and on and on and on... you get the idea.

Usually I take a couple of days off during the worst of the cold, but I really can't afford to use my sick leave for the two weeks that I'm usually sick with one. This of course means I have to take extra precautions for my co-workers, because I use a keyboard and mouse... I wash my hands every five minutes, and even that doesn't always do the trick.

Lentilla, I feel that your employer should give you extra money(increasing your salary or wage at an extra 30-50% per hour), because you are enduring a cold and making a valiant effort to keep your co-workers from getting it!!!

...Whenever you HAVE a cold, that is... and if you take your vitamin C supplements and drink orange juice every morning, you shouldn't find yourself with one, right!?? smiley - tongueout
