I wonder if the researchers and editors on this - very good - article, have ever heard, as I have, Principal European Herring Port by the Not Very Good Interval Band?

If not, I would challenge the claim that the Trouts are Britain's Worst Band (and leave us not forget S Club 7).

If they have, and still stand by this claim, then I fear the Trouts.

The Prophet, when I received this yarn for editing it was entitled "The Trouts - The World's Worst Band. Having heard some real shockers here in New Zealand (and having heard many great Pom bands) I retitled it.

In short, the worst Pommie band would be better than the worst from Yankeeland and the other ex-colonies. Which of course does not answer your question, worst luck.

I dunno if anyone has heard both Trout and the Not Very Good Interval Band.

But if they really are that bad, why don't you write an entry on them? There's clearly a lot of interest for this sort of thing.

I don't know that much about them myself, but I've persuaded my friend Magoo to register and write a piece on TNVGIB. It remains to be seen if he will.

I would love to hear anything by the Not Very Good Interval Band (which is a great name).

For sadists out there, there is one trouts track commercially available, it is on a compliation album called "Welcome to Celebrity" by the Spymania Allstars.

The track is a live recording from 1992.

The rest of the album is much better, and definitely worthy of your attention.

Please buy it if you can. so far the trouts have made just over five pounds each in royalties.
