How about getting out of your pollution spewing box and breathing the air you're stinking up!

Go fuel-cell!
If it's good enough for the space shuttle, it's good enough for me.

Wow! Just asking me to break out my soapbox, huh?
These modifications also work on alcohol powered vehicles, which don't pollute. Most higher classes of racing use alcohol. You can make sizeable power without polluting the air. My daily driver RX-7 is almost twenty years old and my Camaro IS twenty years old. They both retain ALL of their emissions equipment. I have several performance upgrades planned for my RX-7, none of which will increase the emissions. Some will actually INCREASE the gas mileage and DECREASE emissions. I would be happy to ride a bike, but here in Oklahoma it is out of the question. My daily commute is about 30 miles round trip. We have no effective mass transit system because everybody is dependant on their cars.
Until the oil companies let loose their stranglehold on transporation we won't have fuel cell cars. Do you know who has bought 90% of all solar power patents in the last twenty years? Oil companies. The technology is here for effective electric cars, fuel cell cars, hybrid cars, and gas turbine cars, but it's being stifled by auto manufacturers who prefer a piston engine that breaks down regularly.
