A Conversation for Agnosticism

It never fails to amaze me how many people just cannot seem to manage their own belief system without a handy box to place others in.
I am agnostic. I do not know whether there is a god, or many gods or nothing. I do not spend any time at all, most days, thinking about it, as it is at this point unknowable and therefore pointless to contemplate.
I am not unsure about belief in god or gods. Unsure is a word which denotes fragility. The dictionary definiton is ""unsafe...liable to yield or give way....dependent on accident"
Nonsense.
I simply don't know. You don't know. Nobody knows. Full stop.
As I am sure people have already pointed out this statement is insulting and incorrect "Agnosticism is therefore distinct in being the only religious belief system that does not, in fact, involve belief in anything.".
Agnosticism is not a religious belief system (religious - devoted to religion, devout, of or concerned with religion: Oxford Australian). We simply want nothing to do with religious beliefs and realise they are misguided and futile attempts to explain what is, to us, at least at this point the inexplicable. The universe is a big place, and the world is a scary one at times. Some people find it easier to pretend in invisible pink unicorns than to deal with the world without their comfort blanky. Agnostics choose to wait and see and live their lives regardless.
I, as an agnostic do not rely on anybody else to tell me what is morally correct. I do not depend upon paedophiles masquerading as holy men to give me guidance. I am not bad because I am afraid of the stick nor good because I think there might be a carrot. It is not a system (system - set of connected thing or parts, organised body: Oxford Australian) Most agnostics have somewhat differing viewpoints and we do not find that threatening.
