A Conversation for Agnosticism

God cannot play dice!

Let me begin with the quote by Albert Einstein "God cannot play dice!".

If one looks back at the development of the universe and then life on earth, it simply reflects the chances that made it possible. It really is a game of fate that an intelligent species like humans stand upon the face of the earth and ponder about their very existence. Einstein argued that if there is an almighty entity like God then he cannot be playing with chances.

Though it is true that the line separating agnostics with the atheist is pretty thin yet I can safely put myself among the agnostics. It is not that one has to show different to be different, it is the attitude...the thoughts that circumnavigate in the mind that matters most. God is a faith..a belief and unless you make sure you really believe it how can you call yourself a believer. Let me try to make it simple. When God was mentioned to me for the first time, I was awestruck about his existence. The idea of someone so much omnipotent was fascinating to the child in me. I wanted to be the God! I still do...if there really is. I started by reading mythology. I was totally unbiased and practical in my approach, meticulously jotting down the qualities of a God. To my surprise, their qualities were typically human. Nothing remarkable except the miraculous power they have. And I cannot really overlook the way all of them were worried about loosing their followers!! I expected an almighty not to give any damn about humans' faith upon him, he should carry on with his good job. It did not took long to understand the falacy of God.

I do believe in forces of the universe. There are forces out there working synergistically to keep things moving though they seldom have any direct involvement with life on earth. The enigma of creation of the universe still remains unrevealed. Still I can never give it any form or compel myself pray it.
