A Conversation for How to Measure Your Bra Size and Buy a Bra that Fits
BRA SIZING

I've just been reading the article re bra sizing and according to THAT, I should be around about a 42 H or something crazy (38 under bust 48 across). I've just tried on 42F bras; the band is a bit slack and there's also spare material in the cup. I also tried a minimiser bra from the same manufacturer with the same results. I just cannot get a decent fit in bras. Since I am big in the bust, I tend to go for wider straps but that doesn't mean I'm looking for a bra that's Clyde-built! (That's what it felt like with the minimiser bra! I also prefer soft-cup bras rather than under-wired, so forget the middle of the bra sitting close to the sternum!
The best bra I have is a 42E but I felt that the cup size was too small, hence trying an "F". I think my problem could be that my right breast is slightly larger than the left. But what can I do?

As someone who is on the smaller side of bra fitting, I've tended not to have so many problems. I also hate underwired bras as there always seems to be something poking me!
I expect with bras that it's the same as all other womens clothing; different manufacturers do things slightly differently. Perhaps try a couple of different brands?
The other option might be that if you buy one that has removable padding, you could remove it in the cup that holds your larger breat, and keep it in for the smaller one. Or change the padding for something that does the smae job but fits you more accurately.
I tend to go to Marks & Spencer every now and then and ask them to measure me. La Senza does the same service, I think. Sometimes it's just easier to get a professional to do it!
All the best,
