The Orme is Limestone so has interesting plants too- there's a native cotoneaster that's really rare, unfortuneatly it's threatened by garden escaping non-native cotoneaster so as a volunteer I spent some really boring hours cutting it down- one of the dullest jobs I've ever done.
There's also a rare blue butterfly there I think!
The copper mines have got dry stone walls cutting off the workings that were finished- 4000 years is pretty good for a dry stone wall!
There's also a cave a hermit lived in and a bronze age (I think) burial chamber on the Orme.

- Gt.Orme having just returned from holiday at Llandudno , i would like to point out that it costs £15 for a family of four to ascend the Orme by tram. We used a local taxi costing £ 3.40 ...it pays to shop around !!!!!!! .. whichever mode of tran [6]
