There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Trellick Tower looks strikingly similar to Balfron House (or Tower?) in east London which I once had the misfortune of moving someone into during my time as a removal man. Was that designed by Goldfinger too? Great views but I wouldn't want to live there.

Poncenbi

The Balfron Tower (or House) was designed by Goldfinger, albeit before the Trellick Tower. the Trellick is sopposedly better, and the Balfron is not listed I think.

The important thing to remeber is that the Trellick is now trendy and full of Notting Hill types, while the Balfron is not, and is consequently quite nasty.

The Trellick Tower also has a fine pub at the foot - The Golborne House. Fine food and ale.

Well, with Docklands nearby, and the trendification of East London underway, it probably won't be too long before Balfron House is full of the same types as are in Trellick Tower - I've seen it in other tower blocks, starting in Hackney and working its way out to about Limehouse at the last count. Limehouse is but a hop and a skip from Balfron House!
