nice page and exceptionally useful for the beginner. i would like to put a few things straight. smoke on the water is actualy played like this

These are all power chords and it should sound right now.
i can understand that maybe you wanted to make it easier to play but i think you should include the proper version as well just so people don't get confused.

Well if you are going to be anal about it .....
You'll notice that Ritchie Blackmore plays it like this (plucking both notes at once) :
