You forgot to mention a couple of things. First, that Rolla is an important spot to pee when traveling on Interstate 44 (what used to be Route 66). Second, that it was named after Raleigh, North Carolina but the inhabitants decided that the original spelling of Raleigh was "silly" and changed it to match their pronunciation of the word.
